Serving Wayne County, our mission is to help anyone who wants to learn anything about bees.  The Wayne County Beekeepers Association is dedicated to promoting and supporting prospective, new, and experienced beekeepers through education and resource sharing.

Our members are a representation of all levels of beekeeping. We welcome prospective and new beekeepers to join us and benefit from the wealth of experience and knowledge represented by our cooperative.  Some of our members operate large scale apiaries, while others are novice, hobbyists, or beginners with one or two hives.

We strive to be a community that learns together.  Our more experienced beekeepers supply a wealth of knowledge by sharing their experiences, effective techniques, potential challenges, and helping troubleshoot problems. The next generation helps bring new and fresh perspectives.  Through this sharing of knowledge and experiences, our cooperative has a foundation and network that supports everyone’s beekeeping efforts.

We encourage anyone interested in our group’s offerings to please join us for one of our upcoming monthly meetings at the Honesdale Park Street Complex and consider becoming a member to share in our endeavors.

For more information please email us or visit us on Facebook and join the conversation.
