2025 PSBA Summer Picnic

Our family-friendly summer picnic will begin at 11am on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at DelGrosso's Amusement Park in Tipton, PA.

The cost for lunch is $5/person.  PSBA is charging $10/person & refunding $5/person at the picnic.  This is due to "no shows" in past events ($10 penalty).

We will have a business meeting, show & tell, great food & drink, and a presentation about using oxalic acid based miticide VarroxSan by Regina Roah. 

"What is VarroxSan? VarroxSan is a highly effective varroa control treatment, based on oxalic acid dihydrate in slow-release strips, ensuring correct dosage that covers at least three live cycles of the varroa mite. Oxalic acid is an organic compound, naturally found in many plants."

DelGrosso's Park is a family-oriented amusement park located in Tipton, Pennsylvania, a northern suburb of Altoona, Pennsylvania. The park was purchased by the DelGrosso family in 1946 and was named "Bland's Park" until 2000. In 2000, the DelGrosso family decided to change its name to "DelGrosso's Amusement Park." The park hosts picnics and special music events in its pavilion/picnic area.

The park includes more than 30 rides and an adjacent Italian-themed waterpark, Laguna Splash, that opened in 1997. The park resides on both sides of Old Route 220 with Laguna Splash and parking on the southeast side of the road, while park side resides on the northwest side of the road. The two sides of the park can be easily accessed by guests via a crosswalk that was built over the road in 1989.

Lunch choices include:

Lasagna - Homemade Lasagna with Ground Beef

Chicken Alfredo - Sliced Chicken Breast served with Penne in our Homemade Creamy Alfredo Sauce.

Italian Sausage Bites - Italian Sausage cut into bite-size pieces, with sautéed Peppers and Onions.

Chicken Cutlets - Fried Boneless Chicken Breasts with Italian Herbs and Seasoning.
